Cardiff bloggers have meetups, but that's a bit of a train ride. So yourPonty -- the new website from the Pontypridd & Llantrisant Observer -- has organised a meet up of our own. The Blueberry Hotel has opened its first floor bar, and Warwick Emanuel PR will treat the first 30 people who pre-register to a drink. (A pint of lager, a glass of wine, or a soft drink.) We highly recommend you pre-register.

If you don't snag a ticket, you can still attend. Just no free drink.

Media Wales’ multimedia savvy journalists Joni Ayn Alexander and Ed Walker will speak on How to blog... from basics to brilliant. They will cover the use of blogging software, such as Wordpress and Blogger, as well as other social media tools. If you're a seasoned blogger, you're bound to learn something new. If you're a novice, we reckon you'll be ready to blog.

Blogging has its benefits, as well. The Wales Blog Awards will soon begin recognising the best blogging in the nation. We'll tell you more at the meet up.
